Left / Right Pull

Traveller curtain on the mid truss · fireproof wing curtain

A single main curtain on the mid stage truss that draws to the left and right. A fireproof wing curtain each side faces the audience and splits at its centre, running right out to the wall, and side curtains at the same height run the full depth to back them up, closing off stage right and left completely. The four piece band stands at the front of the stage on the lift platform, use the Stage Lift control to bring it up flush with the deck or send it back down for the pre-show position. Upstage, a red curtain hangs below the screen with a big neon "Sunday Night at The Lark" sign standing in front of it.

US, Mid & Advance per house plot

Positions read off the house rig drawing. US under the rear balcony, mid over the playing area, advance at the front of the stage.

Build: Main Curtain (L/R pull)

Traveller on the mid truss

Single curtain that draws left and right. Set the open amount with the curtain control up top.

Build: Wing Curtain

Fireproof curtain each side, faces the audience, splits at centre to open

Straight, running right out to the wall, no gap. On a rail 4ft back from the top of the stairs on the stage. Splits down the middle, each leaf parting to its own side.

Build: Steps (Both Sides)

Wide four step run, out at the end of the stage

Sits at the outer end of each wing near the side wall.

Build: Projector Screen

Full drops to 2ft off the deck, Half stops at the balcony header

In front of the rear balcony, hung from the US truss. Full drop brings the bottom edge to 2 feet above the stage floor. Half stops at the balcony header (3.18m).

Build: Front Lift + Four Piece

Drums, bass, guitar, keys, at the front of the stage

The band stands on the front lift platform. Stage Lift control moves it straight up/down only. Down for the pre-show position, Up brings the platform (and the band) flush with the deck.

Build: Neon Sign

"Sunday Night at The Lark"

Big hollow neon-tube marquee, standing on the deck in front of the curtain, matching the production bible cover. The projector screen (Full) drops down in front of it to 2ft off the deck.

Build: Curtain (below the screen)

Red velvet drop, upstage

Hangs below the projector screen. The neon sign stands in front of it. Swap it out with the Backdrop control.

Build: Side Curtains

Both sides, full depth, same height as the wings (2.5m)

Backs up the wing curtains at the same scale, closing off stage right and left together.
